The Operator's Survival Tool

This is the O.S.T. It is an AR15 carbon scraping/survival multi-tool. It has a steel tool that scrapes carbon from the back of the AR15 bolt face, from within the bolt carrier, from around the locking lugs, from around the firing pin and much, much more. It houses a flint rod to use with the scraper tool to create sparks for a survival fire. It also houses a steel sharpening rod to keep your knives sharp and ready to work. All of these features are held by the weapons grade polymer housing. The whole tool was made to be small; the size of two CR123 batteries, so the O.S.T. can be stored within the battery compartment of common AR15 furniture (Forward Grips, Pistol Grips and Butt Stocks). If you are a hunter, shooter or just like to be prepared, the O.S.T. is perfect for you. For more information visit the website Click here

September 12, 2016 - "How to Defeat Tear Gas in a Riot
By Ken Jorgustin. In a collapse of civil order, a riot can break out in any number of scenarios… Any disaster (natural, man-made, economic) that causes food shortages, Political and/or racial unrest that triggers protests, Desperate revolt at supply distribution points, Looting during a civil breakdown, Etc.. September 12, 2015 - "Extended Bug Out" We are now planning for an extended bug out using the RV as our bug out vehicle. What this means it that we will be posting a considerable number of articles relating to problems which we may encounter. You recall several years ago we performed a Winter Bug Out and wrote our result up, well this one will last longer than one week - it will be for the complete winter season. We look forward to the experience and will keep everyone informed.

September 12, 2016 - "6 Discreet Weapons You Can Carry Anywhere" By Jeremy Knauff. If I could, I would carry a firearm everywhere. Unfortunately, it isn’t always an option because it’s illegal to carry into certain places, such as courthouses, police stations, schools. Click here

September 12, 2016 - "29 Medical Uses for Everyday Items" Liz Bennett. Unless you have a hospital grade medical kit with you 24/7 there are going to be times when you find yourself in a situation where you just don’t have what you need to deal with a medical issue. You may be surprised to find that many everyday household items can get you out of a tight spot. You don’t have to be in the middle of the wilderness hunting to be caught out; accidents at home land millions of people in accident and emergency every year. A little forethought and the knowledge of how to make the best of what you have around you can make a massive difference to the outcome for the victim of an accident. Click here

August 24, 2016 - "Johnny Cake Know How" By Joseph Parish. Today's rant involves the often heard of Johnny-cake. This cornmeal flatbread has been acknowledged by many names ranging from Johnny-cake, to Shawnee cake, to Johnny bread. This bread is an older, staple prepared and used in the early days of our country. We can credit the Native American’s with the creation of this food and even today it can be found in countries such as the Bahamas, Bermuda, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Saint Croix, and West Indies. Click here

August 22, 2016 - "Bugging out to a Foreign Country" Joseph Parish. Today’s rant involves bugging out to foreign countries. I have recently held a few serious conversations with several preppers who have developed bug-out plans to leave the continental United States in the event of a major meltdown of the infrastructure. I personally see several downfalls with such an idea as this however to each their own but that is merely my own personal opinion. In the event that you are inclined to leave America during those crisis periods, you would be well served to keep in mind that laws are completely different in foreign countries than they may be here at home. August 15, 2016 - "Fire Drill and Evacuation Plans" By Anthony Hilderbrand. I think that we can all take a trip down memory lane for a moment and remember our childhood fire drills in school. We remember having to get in single file lines and proceeding to the closest exit and running through the same old routine quarterly. Click here

August 9, 2016 - "In Case of Emergency (ICE) Card " It is back to school time and that means your child may be away from you when a disaster strikes, so it’s important to teach him or her how to stay safe during emergencies. Here is an In Case of Emergency (ICE) Card featuring characters from the new animated film “Ice Age: Collision Course.” Which teachers and parents can help their children fill out. Place this card in your child’s book bag or wallet so they have it with them at all times. Click here

July 26, 2016 - "How to Dry Popcorn for Long-Term Storage" By Jenny Harrington. Properly dried popcorn pops up easily and has a slightly tender but crunchy texture. Homegrown popcorn or cobs of fresh popcorn from a farm stand must be dried before you can store it or pop the kernels. Proper drying ensures the longest storage time and the best quality of popped corn. If the kernels contain too much moisture, they become prone to mold and mildew. You don't need special equipment to dry your own popcorn. Popcorn stores best when dried to 14 percent moisture content, which you can achieve by drying it properly in a warm room in your home. July 25, 2016 - "Last Will and Testament" By Joseph Parish. I have recently been hearing a lot about people visiting their attorneys to obtain a Last Will and Testament. These people are simply not sure of our current times and want to take the appropriate actions in order to protect their families. As I ventured to a few of the survival blogs and previewed the postings that people were making, I was totally surprised at what I found. As an example, one man says he will leave all his personal belongings to his youngest son while in the next frame we see a young lady shouting, “What about me, me, me your daughter? You forgot to include me in your will.” Click here

July 25, 2016 - "Waste, Waste, and more Waste" By Joseph Parish. Well, it’s that time again for another of my philosophical ramblings. Have you ever noticed the large quantity of trash trucks on our roads these days? Our waste appears to be their gain. Today I was accomplishing some past due reading and was astounded at the amount of food which we waste. As I thought more and more on this issue, I decided to do one of my rants based on this topic. As a nation, we are gifted with an excess of food which we generously share with the world. I remember as a teenager reading how we shared wheat with the Soviet Union even though at that time period we were cold war rivals. Even though we possess an abundance of healthy foods we also waste a large portion of it. Click here

This Simple idea requires no modifications to a USB WIFI adaptor or your computer. A simple way to increase the signal strength and range of your WIFI. Plus it works with all USB WIFI adaptors . July 19, 2016 - "Comparison of Michelle and Future First Lady Melanie" By Joseph Parish. On Facebook today I read a friends post concerning how the debate continues on the topic of Melania Trump plagiarizing Michelle Obama's speech. The poster went on to say that the speeches were “eerily similar”. Most liberals would need to find an excuse to persecute the woman after all she was Trumps wife. “Eerily Similar” does not constitute “plagiarized”. Here is a copy of Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech in question. Click here

July 18, 2016 - "The Terror Act in France" By Joseph Parish. Everyone who knows me is aware that my ultimate goal is to eventually become somewhat of an expert on terrorism. With that goal in mind I have returned to the university environment to obtain a degree in Emergency Management. Now in my final year I still quest for any information which I can find concerning this cowardly scum of the earth people and their groups.  Click here

July 18, 2016 - "4 Tips to Stop Someone from Bleeding To Death" By Alan. During a major disaster hospitals are likely to be overcrowded or closed, which means you shouldn’t count on a nurse or doctor to help you. They could either be too busy helping people with more serious injuries, or they could be hunkering down with their families. You and your friends and family are going to have to help one another, so if someone gets a deep cut you’ll need to know how to stop the bleeding. Click here

July 9, 2016 - "How to Make a Bullet Proof and Fire Proof House from Fire and Heat Resistant Materials" An Impenetrable Fortress That’s NOT A Storage Container. That’s right; we’re going to show you how you can make your own custom bullet proof, fireproof & earthquake resistant buildings with 100% recycled materials! The walls are made from used plastic bottles, filled with sand and coated with a moderate amount of mud and cement to smooth the wall and make it appealing. Click here

July 9, 2016 - "How to Make Corrugated Shingles from Aluminum Cans" If you are working on a semi-permanent structure and don’t want to use forest debris or other material for making the roof, you can turn empty beer or soda cans into shingles. The process is very easy, but producing the shingles is tedious and time-consuming. However, if you have the opportunity, this trick may be just what you need to create a sturdy roof that won’t require as much upkeep as less-durable options. Click here

July 9, 2016 - "How to Make a Tin Can Trail Alarm" By M.D. Creekmore. Many of you, have watched the old war movies where the approaching enemy trips an alarm made of tin cans, which in turn alerts the good-guys to their approach. The advancing troops trip the wire and the cans fly up into the air, making enough noise to alert the good guys to the approach, allowing them time to mount an effective counter. Click here

July 8, 2016 - "Creating Your Own Family Emergency Plan" by Amber Henning. Prepping is more than just having a lot of great supplies. You must also have a plan if you want your family to survive any situation successfully. If you are preparing for a family rather than just yourself, there are a lot more factors that can go into a survival situation. You can’t simply grab your bug out bag and go, if you’ve got a spouse and kids. The key to successful emergency planning is not just to plan, but to communicate with your family so they know how to act when an emergency situation actually does arise. Whether it is a basic natural disaster, a powerful storm, or a true SHTF scenario, planning now will help you and your family immensely when the times comes. Click here

July 6, 2016 - "Outdoor Survival Skills Class at Trap Pond" July 6th was an enjoyable day to be outside if you managed to beat the rain. At about noon I left my home with a final destination planned for Trap Pond in Laurel Delaware. The sun was out and it looked like a very promising day. Along the way I stopped to pick up a large coffee from the Wawa store in Long Neck and continued on my way. Traffic wasn’t too bad and I arrived at the State Park at about the time for the scheduled outdoor skills class to begin. This week’s activity involved the use of maps and how to use them with and without a compass. The instructor for the class was Mr. William Koth who proved to be very knowledgeable on the topic. June 28, 2016 - "Survival Options Air Rifles for Preppers" et me first say that I have both an adult air rifle and a “BB gun”. There is a very big difference. I started out carrying a BB gun when I was about 6 years old. Many a bird fell to my years of shooting that old Daisy. Many BB’s were lost to shots that didn’t hit their target. At 6 years old, I didn’t always have adult supervision on the farm in Western Pa. I shot some things that I should have gotten my ass kicked for but were never found out or were forgiven. The old Daisy made me proud at the time that I was able to carry a gun. I guess it brought me back to my roots that I didn’t even know about at that time. Hunting is still a natural instinct no matter the age. I was 15 before I got my first “real” gun. It was a 20 gauge shotgun, a bolt-action Western Field, 3 shot clip. Two years later I had my first rifle, a .22. It’s hard to count the number of rifles and shotguns I’ve had since then but all of those were bought, loved, used, cared for, and sometimes sold with love and affection for each and every one. June 28, 2016 - "Survival DIY How to make a Silencer" How to make a silencer and the knowledge to manufacture them from unconventional materials could be a critical component to your survival repertoire when the need to eliminate a target in silence is required. The following directions are simple, and in states like Nevada silencers are legal but check your state’s laws before attempting to make a silencer. For this example we are using a .22 caliber pistol, but these instructions can be applied to other calibers. Click here

June 28, 2016 - "The Advantages in Using Electric Fence as Your First Line Of Defense" When it comes to your personal protection and the protection of your property, is there such a thing as “too much”? Hard to say really, but if you have the time and the means, you should spare no expense in securing your home. Sure, having you very own machine gun turrets installed on the lawn would be excessive indeed, not to mention extremely illegal. Click Here

June 28, 2016 - "Homemade Penicillin To Survive When SHTF" by prepd. Can you imagine dying from a cut on your finger or a scrape on your knee? How about a respiratory infection or a toothache? Before the invention of penicillin, the first antibiotic, that could have been your cause of death. If SHTF access to antibiotics may become limited or impossible. If that happens, it’s important to know how to make antibiotics at home. Click here

June 13, 2014 - "Make Char Cloth” by Graywolf. These instructions will tell you how to make char cloth which will aid you in fire starting the primitive way. Click here

June 13, 2016 - "Make DIY Fire-Starting Wafers with a Candle and Cotton Pads" By Alan Henry. We've shown you how to make char cloth so you'll always be able to start a fire in an emergency, but char cloth is dangerous to keep and transport. These cotton fire-starting wafers are much easier to make, safer to stash in an emergency kit or go bag and all you need to make them is a candle and some cosmetic cotton pads from your local drug store or pharmacy.
